The theatre event FIT LIKE?! took place yesterday at the Dickson Hall. Actor/playwright Paul Hughson got off to a good start when he took the stage and uttered “FIT LIKE?” and immediately the enthusiastic audience retorted “NAE BAD”.
Once again Paul demonstrated his ability to powerfully act the many characters of his play – switching amazingly quickly from Auld Bob, to his wife, his son, doctor or minister – acting each role with credible reality. The drama of the life story of Auld Bob was both heavy and powerful and greatly lightened by Paul’s ability to make his audience laugh.
With a great play and the tasty food for which the Dickson Hall is becoming well known, the audience went home having thoroughly enjoyed their night out.
