A great night was had by the 80 people attending the curry quiz night on the 3rd of May at 7.00 at the Alma Restaurant, including the organisers from the Gala committee. So much so that those taking part were eager to find out when the next one will be!
The Alma food and service were both excellent. The care taken to make sure everyone had food they would enjoy could not have been better. The quiz fitted in perfectly with the timing of the courses to the different tables. In this way there was plenty of time to think of answers and to enjoy the delicious food in a leisurely fashion.
The warm up game of Heads and Tails had everyone up and taking part. Then the quiz had a wide range of topics over the evening as well as some very interesting team names! There was something for everyone to have input into.
The quiz winner was team Ten-a Lady with 78 points, second was Big Girls Blouses on 74.5 and third was Bowling News on 74. Best team name was Naan o’ yer Business.
The Gala committee would like to thank the Alma staff and Quizzers for making the evening such a success. £585 was raised towards the Gala this year, which is running the week prior to Gala Day on the 18th July.
