Kincardine and Mearns Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) have launched a new outreach service in Laurencekirk. Essentially we are bringing CAB to you. It started on Wednesday 7th October 2015, and residents of Laurencekirk and the surrounding areas have been able to make an appointment with a trained adviser who is available every Wednesday afternoon.
The CAB service will offer free support and advice on a range of important issues, such as employment, debt, housing and consumer rights. Dedicated appointments are also available with the Bureau’s Benefits specialist, for those who need assistance with eligibility, changes to their entitlements or require help to complete paperwork.
We are really pleased to bring this important outreach service to Laurencekirk as residents living in the area face the same challenges as those living in the region’s towns and cities but have greater difficulties accessing advice due to the rural location. We hope that the service will be well used by the community and that we can be of great benefit.
