Mearns Community Transport have extended an open invitation to the community and community groups to attend a meeting regarding the Mearns Community Transport Initiative, who are working to raise funds to purchase a new minibus.
The aim of the meeting is to raise awareness of the service, identify if there are other groups or uses the bus could be involved in, get ideas on fundraising, also ensuring that the new vehicle meets the need of the users. The meeting is on Wednesday June 8th, 7pm at Mearns Community Campus.
MCT also offer training to anyone who would be interested in obtaining a licence to enable community groups to have their own drivers.
