On Sunday 12th June, 10,000 people will help celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday at a giant street party in the Mall, London, organised by The Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry. An invitation has been sent out to the rest of the country to have street parties organised in your own local areas. To avoid the possibility of inclement weather we are holding our “Street Party” indoors.
The Dickson Hall in Laurencekirk is organising an “Afternoon Cream Tea” in celebration of the occasion. A typical afternoon tea with tasty nibbles will be on offer with strawberries and cream.
Live TV pictures from the entertainment programme at the Mall will be shown on the large screens in the Hall. We shall decorate the hall in an appropriate manner to help with the party atmosphere.
Come along and join us in a celebration of the Queen’s birthday celebrations, tickets will cost £7.00 for adults and £3.00 for children.
The party will start at 2.00pm, and free transport is available for those needing requiring assistance.
Call 01561 376896 and leave a message to reserve your tickets and to book your seat on the bus.
