The Laurencekirk Bowling Club Open Triples competition, sponsored by Neil Ingram, Joiner and Funeral Director, was held on Sunday 10th May. Despite the cold, rainy conditions, the competition was keenly contested, and following a round robin, in the semi finals Robert Smith, Isobel Smith and Raymond McDougall (St Cyrus) played Kittybrewster team Jim Forbes, Sheena Davidson and Alan McBrearty, while Portlethen triple John Walker, Gladys Walker and Mollie Lownie played David Ritchie, Ethel Wood and George Robertson from Hillside.
The Kittybrewster and Hillside teams contested the final which Kittybrewster narrowly won by 4 shots to 3.
Neil and Alison Ingram presented the prizes, and are pictured with the finalists and Club President, Betty Ritchie.
