Laurencekirk’s newest coffee shop, Hugo’s, has opened for business at 63 High Street.
It’s a joint venture between well-known business people Linda & Mark Farqharson of Marlin Enterprizes and Karen & Andy Ogilvie of Mearns Hardware.
The emphasis at Hugo’s is on offering what the people of Laurencekirk want, with wholesome, home-cooked food and specials such as business lunch platters, telephone orders and a loyalty card.
Hugo’s will also be hosting a monthly dinner club, with the theme of “around the world” cuisine.
After lots of hard work refitting and refurbishing the premises, yesterday’s opening was a great success, and Hugo’s team have thanked villagers for their support and encouragement.
