Laurencekirk Out Of School Club are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to join the team as Deputy Manager, on a full-time basis. You will be responsible for planning, organising and taking part in play and leisure activities for children and young people aged 5 -16 years, providing an excellent level of care to the children attending the service.
The work is varied involving supervising staff, health and safety checks, administrative duties, programme planning and promoting the service. You must have experience of working with children and be qualified to or working towards SVQ Level 4. You must be eligible to register with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Practitioner and hold a relevant childcare and/or early years qualification or equivalent, as per SSSC requirements.
Before confirming appointment you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme. Food hygiene and first aid certificates are desirable but not essential as further training will be provided. Previous managerial/supervisorial experience preferred.
