Now recruiting – a unique opportunity to support the Laurencekirk medical practice and understand the challenges facing our NHS.
PPG groups work closely with practices and a member of the community health integration team, learning of ways to assist both patients and the medical team in adding and implementing agreed improvements.
The Laurencekirk group have, together with the practice, delivered a range of local events to advise patients and help equip them to avoid or minimise the impact of poor health. Subjects covered recently included type 2 diabetes, mental health and CPR training.
The group meet approximately every six weeks. We aim to be representative of the local community. Currently we are seeking patients as potential PPG members especially from the young and middle aged. We would specifically welcome a patient who can help with on-line communications.
