At our Portlethen Practice, over the last few years we have selected a young person interested in veterinary medicine to offer them a paid part time Receptionist job to give them valuable work experience and an opportunity to have an insight into the workings of a veterinary practice, which is vital to university and college applications which are extremely competitive.
To date we have taken on three school pupils, one currently works with us and is in 5th year at school. Our former pupils have both been successful in obtaining places to pursue their ambitions with one in full time study to become a veterinary nurse and the other now in his third year at university to become a vet but still works with us during holidays, which we arrange to suit his course commitments.
We are very proud of our former pupils and the work we have done and have therefore decided to expand our initiative to look for another young person to join us at our Veterinary Hospital in Laurencekirk.
To be considered for this opportunity you must be at least 16 years old and intend to apply to college or University to study veterinary nursing or medicine and be available to work every Saturday between 10am & 12.30pm.
