Just when you thought you lived in Aberdeenshire, a new organisation is being launched which covers the areas of the 12 community councils in the Kincardine and Mearns area of Aberdeenshire from Crathes, Drumoak and Durris in the north to Mearns and St Cyrus in the south.
The initial management committee of the Kincardineshire Development Partnership will have representatives from each of the Community Councils. The aim is to provide an organisation which can harness the skills and enthusiasm of local people, as well as provide information and advice for community groups on subjects such as planning and funding. It will help to cut through the red tape and improve both economic and community development to benefit the whole area.
Membership is open to all constituted non-party political organisations across the K&M area and is free.
