Every year the Laurencekirk and District Rotary Club recognises an individual or two who have contributed to the well-being of their community. Last year the Club honoured Lily Barnett of Laurencekirk and Roy Allet of Marykirk.
This year again the Club invites nominations for its annual Citizen of the Year award. Nominations can be made by an individual or an organisation to recognise the efforts of people who voluntarily made a positive contribution in the community. There is no lower or upper age limit, and the only stipulation is that nominees should reside in the area covered by the Rotary Club which is Laurencekirk, Fettercairn, Luthermuir, Marykirk, St Cyrus, Inverbervie and Fordoun districts.
Please send your Nominations to laurencekirkrotary@gmail.com by 30 April 2021 with the name of the nominee and a description of the work carried out which makes them worthy of consideration of an award.
I nominate Fiona Crystal post mistress & Jennifer & Donna post office workers.
They have kept the Post office all the way through the 2 lockdowns. And have been as helpful & friendly as they always are. Keeping a much needed service open.
Thank you very much. We may ask you for more information. All the very best
