The Mearns and Coastal Gardening Group, who care for the 16 whisky barrel planters at Laurencekirk train station under the “adopt a station” scheme recently had the help of P7 pupils from Laurencekirk Primary School. A very productive and enjoyable afternoon was spent by the group and the pupils planting up the autumn display at the train station.
The gardening group will continue to run weekly on Monday afternoons throughout the autumn and winter months using Laurencekirk library hall when the weather is poor, and new members would be very welcome. We would also be keen to hear from anyone who has any gardening or nature knowledge or skills that they could share with the group during one of the sessions.
