This Sunday, 9th August, Howe o’ the Mearns Pipe Band start several days of fundraising for the band and for Roxburghe House in Aberdeen. First off is a Soup and Sweet afternoon, 11am – 3pm at the Masonic Hall Laurencekirk, along with a tombola and raffle draw. The raffle prizes include several hampers donated by local businesses.
Then, on Sunday evening at 7pm, the Pipe Band online auction starts, continuing until 9pm on 14th August. There’s a wide variety of donated goodies to be bid on, big and small. The auction is taking place on Facebook – to join visit the page Here.
This is the band’s second year of fundraising for Roxburghe House – the first raised over £2500. After that success a pledge was made to run a fundraiser for the hospice every year.
