Her Majesty The Queen celebrates her 90th birthday on 21st April this year but there will be celebrations throughout the country between then and summer. These will mark not only her long life but also her dedication to her country and her 64-year reign as our Monarch.
In order to mark The Queen’s birthday, an invitation is being made for residents in the County of Kincardineshire who were also born in 1926 to attend an afternoon tea party with the Lord Lieutenant of Kincardineshire, Mrs Carol Kinghorn. On this special day, those born on the same year as The Queen will join in celebrating this special birthday. Mrs Kinghorn is The Queen’s representative for the County and is delighted to host the party.
Mrs Kinghorn said, “We are all so proud of The Queen and her long service to the country with so many milestones along the way. We thought it would be a lovely idea to mark the 90th birthday by inviting others who will also celebrate their special birthday this year. We are not sure how many will qualify but I look forward to welcoming those who will be able to attend.”
