The Laurencekirk Patients’ Participation Group, in association with the local medical practice have organised a community event to raise awareness and reduce the risks of developing Type 2 diabetes.
More than one in sixteen people in the UK develop diabetes – currently 3.9m people are living with diabetes. Of the 700 new cases diagnosed daily 90% have Type 2 Diabetes
Patients from Laurencekirk, Auchenblae and Edzell practices are invited to attend. The speaker, Dr Kerstin Box is a GP and has specialist training in diabetes.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions and to find out more about our local services.
